Netgear strikes deal with MetaMask to integrate NFTs in Meural smart frame

Nasdaq-listed computer networking firm Netgear has found a way for users who want to display their NFT artworks.

Announcing its new product at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Netgear has integrated its product, called ‘Meural digital art frames, with crypto wallet MetaMask. The integration will allow users to choose the NFTs they want to display on their wall by connecting the wallet with their smart frame.

Meural art frames come in three sizes with prices ranging from $299.95 to $599.95, all with built-in Wi-Fi. Currently, in its beta version, users can decorate and display the art provided by Mural as a canvas on their walls just like traditional artworks.

Buyers of the frames can also present slideshows of NFTs using an integrated app or a MicroSD card. Additionally, the company is expected to have access to the world’s largest streaming library of art and photography. Users can subscribe to curated collections of artwork from the library for a monthly or annual fixed cost of $8.95 and $69.95, respectively.

“It’s doing what Meural has always wanted to do, which is foster communication and community around visual culture,” Poppy Simpson, Netgear Meural head of product and content, remarked in an interview with VentureBeat. “This new feature is particularly aimed at those people who buy the frame to display their personal memories.”
